This deposit secures your accommodations, locks in group pricing, and covers upfront planning costs on my end. Because many travel partners require immediate payment to hold reservations, the deposit cannot be transferred or refunded — even if your plans change. The deposit amount varies by trip but will always be clearly listed before booking. I recommend purchasing travel insurance to help protect your investment in case of unexpected changes. Once your deposit is received, you'll be set up with a payment plan and all the info you need to prepare for your trip.

Flights are not included unless otherwise noted, but I’m happy to help you find the best flight options.

I offer flexible payment options to make your trip easier to budget over time. Once your non-refundable deposit is paid, the remaining balance can be split into manageable monthly or bi-weekly payments, depending on the vendor and your trip’s timeline. You’ll receive a personalized payment schedule with due dates and friendly reminders to help you stay on track. Just be sure to make payments on time to keep your spot secured.

How Payments Are Handled:

All payments are processed securely through the travel supplier or booking system — never paid directly to me. This keeps your reservation protected and ensures everything is handled through official and secure channels.

You’ll typically have the following payment options:

• Credit or Debit Card – The simplest way to pay your deposit or balance. You’ll authorize your card through a secure form, and your payment will be submitted directly to the supplier.

• Uplift – A financing option that lets you book now and pay over time in monthly installments (subject to credit approval).

• Slice Pay – A flexible backup option with no credit check, offered on a case-by-case basis if your original payment plan becomes difficult to maintain. Slice offers 3–26 weekly or bi-weekly payments with a one-time, upfront price lock fee. No late fees. No early payoff penalties.

If your trip qualifies for Uplift or Slice Pay, I’ll guide you through the process.

Credit Card Authorization:

You may be asked to complete a Credit Card Authorization Form to approve charges for your travel arrangements. This form allows your payment to be processed securely through the travel supplier, and not through me directly.

Reminder: All payments must be made on time to keep your reservation active. Missed or delayed payments may result in losing your spot or price increases due to availability changes.

Research Fee.

For solo trips and group trips, a non-refundable research fee of $25 is required before I begin planning. It’s my way of respecting both your time and mine while making sure you get the best experience possible. This fee covers:

• Customized flight, hotel, and itinerary research

• Access to trusted travel suppliers and exclusive rates

• Travel coordination, safety considerations, and personal tips

• 1 revision and up to 3 curated options

If you book and complete your trip with CD Confidence Travel, the research fee will be refunded after travel completion.

For group trips planned by CD Confidence Travel, there’s no research fee — everything is already thoughtfully curated and planned for you. Just review the details and decide if it’s the right fit.

*Group size may impact the research fee, as larger or more detailed trips require additional planning.

Credit Card Authorization.

To keep your information secure and all payments clear and documented, CD Confidence Travel uses a Credit Card Authorization Form for all bookings.

Before I can book anything on your behalf, you’ll need to complete and sign a Credit Card Authorization Form approving the initial deposit and any future payments toward your total trip cost. This form allows me to process your payment securely through the travel supplier (such as the hotel, resort, cruise line, or tour operator), never to me directly. I never collect or store your funds. A legible copy of the front and back of your credit card is required.

If you’re not comfortable sharing your personal card information, no problem! You can use a prepaid card in the required amount instead. I’ll still need the authorization form signed, but you’ll have full control over the card you choose to use.

This step is in place to protect both you and me, and to keep everything clean, clear, and transparent.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for every trip, especially international travel. It can protect you against unexpected cancellations, medical emergencies, travel delays, lost luggage, and more.

While you're not required to purchase insurance, if you choose to decline coverage, you’ll be asked to sign a Travel Insurance Waiver confirming that it was offered and that you’ve chosen to travel without it. This protects both of us and ensures you're aware of what you're opting out of.

I work with Allianz Travel Insurance, but you’re welcome to purchase coverage from any provider you trust. Just make sure it covers your destination and the type of trip you're taking.

Bottom line: Whether you say yes or no to insurance, I just need your decision in writing before I move forward with booking.
